Just 3 Mums Walking and Raising Awareness, One Step of HOPE at a Time.

Suicide remains the biggest killer of those under 35 in the UK. On average, over five young people take their lives each day and over 200 schoolchildren are lost to suicide every year.

We only learned of this terrifying fact because our young sons took their lives, all within the last 3 years. Our loss and shock is all encompassing but, with the support of PAPYRUS, we are raising awareness by walking over 200 miles for all those young people as well as our boys, who are lost every year. Our aim is to help prevent other families from being devastated by suicide, particularly as research shows that with appropriate early intervention and support like that offered by PAPYRUS, suicide by young people can be prevented.

Our walk is about HOPE, something that is key to what we want to achieve for our boys and for other young people. We begin in Seb and Liz’s hometown of Madeley, Cheshire on Friday 22nd September 2023, then walking to Hayden and Kim’s home city of London, whilst finishing in Maxi and Michelle’s hometown of Sandwich, Kent on Sunday 8th October 2023.

Days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 – NOT JUST COMPLETED, BUT SMASHED!!  

THE FINAL DAY – DAY 17 – 8 October DONE AND DUSTED – We cannot believe it but we made it!!  Sore feet, blisters but oh my goodness, the support and love we have received across the country has been nothing short of phenomenal.  Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts so very, very much.  But for now, it’s over and out for the night from The Just 3Mums Walking xxx
